Your cognomovement session

A Cognomovement session is simpler than you probably imagined. 

First and foremost you don't have to talk about what's been happening and causing you to be experiencing these unwanted feelings. However, I will ask you three simple questions as follows:

  1. What is the feeling (emotion) that you want to work on?

  2. Where in your body are you feeling it, if at all.

  3. On a scale of 1-10 how intense is this feeling with 10 being the most intense.

Then we start the process.

  • Standing in front of each other, we simply begin to throw the Cognomovement ball back and forth, slowly moving up the body. As you receive the ball, say the colour you see whilst remaining focused on the feeling before throwing it back. 

  • We continue moving the ball up the body until you are receiving it above your head (if you are able).

  • From there we do a simple 'pattern interrupt', nothing strenuous, it's all part of the process. 

  • Then we sit down so I can check your eyes (the neurology) to see if any new perspectives on your situation have arisen. 

  • We'll continue to repeat the process again until the intensity of the feeling has been reduced to around a 4/10 or below.

Once the feeling subsides, the brain will automatically re-adjust to the new feeling, giving clients a new perspective and sometimes a solution that the old emotion prevented them from seeing.

Below is part of a live recording session with Claire who came to me with feelings of anger that she was not able to let go of.

  • Anger and Grief 😠
